Have you ever played a game as a kid and loved it? Then went back years later, when you’re older and played that same game to only find it out really sucked? That is what I like to call “Little kid syndrome” You think “OH MAN! That game was so good! I gotta find it so I can play it again!” only to be disappointed. This has happened to me a lot, but do you know what game I played a lot as a kid and still think is awesome today? Mega Man Legends for the PS1. I’m not talking about that crappy sequel, but the original. That game was so good, it turned 2D Mega Man into a full on 3D adventure. I just recently picked it up again, and I still love it.
A game I used to love as a kid, but found out it actually sucked big time was Driver 2. I played that game so much as a kid; I got it for Christmas and thought it was the best thing ever. I played it again years later and thought “Wow that was terrible. What was I thinking?”
I’m not exactly sure what I’m trying to say here, just…maybe its best we leave some games alone and remember them fondly in our childhood memories, rather than have them ruined for us later in life. I don’t know.
