Well, here we go. A Class Action suit has been filed against Sony for the recent hacking of the Playstation Network. Check here to have a look and get all the good details.
My question is, however, should people really be mad at Sony for the "incompetent" security? I feel that we should focus more (not all)of our anger at the hackers in question.
Now, I agree that Sony should own up to some responsibility for having let this happen, and agree that security should have been tighter, but I feel like a lot of people seem to be looking at this in the wrong way. People are saying that the only reason this happened is because of Sony taking away the "other OS" feature negating any ability to have backwards compatability with the PS3, but does that seem like a good excuse for some Joe taking your information? Is that said person allowed to hack his PS3 and get all of this power because of something that simple?
People know that PS2s are dirt cheap right?
Anyway, I would like to hear your thoughts.
Keep it classy, and thank you.
