Console Graphics?

With the recent rumor attack of the new Nintendo Console on Gameinformer.com and Joystiq.com It got me thinking. I see people saying "Finally! Get with the times Nintendo. Although, PS3 and 360 look like crap compared to PC, PS3 and 360 are showing their age." That statement really annoys me. Yes, PC games usually always look better than 360 and PS3, but how are these consoles showing their age? Has anyone seen Killzone 3? Yes, the Wii has been showing it's age and gets a lot of complaints because "It doesn't get any awesome new games." Okay, what was wrong with Donkey Kong Country Returns? Nothing. That game looked great, and it wasn't even HD! I do think Nintendo does need to release an "HD" console to stay up to speed with PS3 and 360, but I think what a lot of gamers forget is that graphics are not everything. Yes, sometimes going back and playing old games can be a little tough on the eyes, but it's the gameplay that matters. Graphics are just a nice added bonus.

Basically, what I'm trying to say here is that HD 1080p isn't everything. I'd rather have an ugly fun game than a beautiful boring one.
