Hint Movies

I find it just so silly that people actually get infuriated that Hint Movies are in Nintendo's latest games. I see that they are angry that they are making the games easier and that it's taking away from the experience; and I've seen this multiple times in many places.

Do you dudes not realize that this is an option?

There are many people out there who are very fresh to the 'scene' with gaming. I have watched people struggle playing a Mario title on the first level and not even understand the controls sometimes. So it's an easy assumption that these people will eventually need a little help with their game.

That's where the hint movies come in.

These movies are optional, and they only appear after you have failed multiple times. And with Nintendo, their hint movies actually allow you to use it in a way where it might just get you past a small part in the level that you could not do and then let you take back control and try and do the rest alone.

If you are like me, you may have never used these. I have 3 games where these are in - Zelda Ocarina of Time, New Super Mario Bros., and Donkey Kong Country Returns. I have gotten the option from that little pig in DK to have them do it for me, yet I have never used it. I do not get angry that the game is offering to help me, and most of the time I don't even pay attention to him waving his little flags around telling me to hit the + button.

So really, if you hate these things for ruining your game, don't use them, never buy a strategy guide, and don't you dare use GameFaqs - It's all the same. This is just an integrated way to help out those who have not grown up to be amazing at games - or your Mom, whatever works.
