A Wii-U Gamepad Quickshot

While I did want to get some pictures of the Wii-U Kiosk to help show what I mean, there just isn't really a good way to do that.  It's got a few tethers keeping it from getting a good angle.  Plus you can see the pictures of this thing everywhere now.

I just want to hit on a few things really.  At this point we know much of what there is to know. 

- the weight of the system is lighter than I would have thought.

- touchscreen feels better than any of the DS stuff.  While not on par with i-Devices, it responds just as nicely just without the multi-touch.

- the curves on the side for handles and the triggers feel super nice.  It really makes the controller feel very ergonomic and comfortable.

- Oddly, the triggers are just buttons; they do not act like say the 360 triggers where they have that sensitivity to them.

- Them moving the buttons and D-pad in more off-set to the analog sticks is (what I said in the first place) what they should have done from the start.  It creates a natural movement to and from the different grips for play.  I would say it's one of the nicer setups when making the switch from going to dual analog to the D-pad and face buttons.

- The buttons themselves feel similar to the Classic Controller but the face buttons are softer.  The D-pad feels as good as the Classic (my favorite).  The reach from the triggers to the bumpers isn't bad either, and both have that more soft feel of the face buttons to me.

Overall the thing is very comfortable to me.  It feels very nice right away and the buttons have a solid feel to them.  The switch from dual analog to anything else is nice and clean, and the touchscreen feels better than any other they have done.  The triggers are the only odd thing for me, but I don't see it becoming too much of an issue anyway.  There aren't many games outside of racing that I've really used that function - it just would be nice to have for any other ideas to come around.
