I keep seeing this in everybody's E3 predictions. "Skyward Sword to be announced on Wii successor in HD". As I started writing this I actually started battling the thought of this. I was about to make the point that it wouldn't make sense; saying that Nintendo would have to delay the game another year and this is dedicated for the Wii accessories - But then I started thinking.
"Holiday" could mean past Christmas; hitting more in the March April timeframe which is where some are speculating the Wii successor could arrive. Also, there are rumors that you can use your Wii stuff anyway on this new 'Project Cafe'.
Here is one thought though.
Wii games are developed in HD pretty much and the game usually just gets hit with the compression of making it run on the Wii. So, if this game were to be on the new Nintendo platform, I don't think they would even have to re-release it or make two versions, I think this game will just upscale it's way to glory.
In short, I don't think we are going to hear about Skyward Sword being announced for 'Project Cafe' and at most we will hear them say that it will play on the new system giving it a much more polished look. At the same time though, Nintendo probably wont do that for the sake of not hurting sales on the Wii version of the game and making people think they should not get it.
