I just recently got a Wii again and I gotta say. I love it. I don't see all the random hate for the wii. Yeah it's not super awesome HD or "INSANE DTS SURROUND SOUND!" it's just a simple game system with some fun titles. However, I don't think you can own just a wii and be 100% happy. You should have a PS3 or 360 along the wii. But that doesn't mean the system sucks. Nintendo systems always has games I just won't get on my Sony or Microsoft consoles. Smash bros, Mario kart, simple fun side scroller games, etc. etc. It's just a fun little neat system and it's sad Skyward Sword, Mario Party 9, and the new Kirby game is the last big titles for it.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is this - The wii is fun and simple. Don't think too hard about it.

I refuse to play M&M Cart Racing because it doesn't have DTS surround sound.
